On your first visit to our rooms you will be required to complete a patient registration form. It gives us an overview of your general information, insurance details, any current medical conditions, and what current medication you are taking. Online forms are also available to complete and submit prior to your consultation.
Your consultation will then involve the assessment injury. To make it easy to examine your hand, wrist or limb, we ask that you wear suitable clothes such as T-shirts and short sleeves.
We will also ask you about the history of your injury; how and when you injured it, and if you have previously received treatment for your condition. If you have a treatment record, please bring it with you.
All of this generally takes about 15-30 minutes, but the amount of time your consultation takes will depend on the complexity of your condition. In some cases, you may be required to undergo an X ray, CT scan or MRI at Pacific Radiology (next to our Specialist Centre), so please allow time to spare.
If your condition is the result of an accident, please bring your ACC documents.
